Resurrection

Excited to try and get this blog going again. Mainly, for me and Clint. We love looking back on post and seeing our babies and what our life was like.

We had a great Christmss and we're ready for the new year. Excited to see what 2014 will hold. Here is some info our own babis.

Sawyer: Getting pretty smart. A few days a week I try and do "school" with her. My goal for the year was to teach her all the alaphbet. We are on letter O and she is doing great. I love that time with her. She calls me "teacher mommy." Clint and I have realized that Sawyer has been not obeying the first time we ask her to do something and she is having some attitude problems. Telling us to not talk to her and bossing us around. This has been going on for a few months now but for some reason we have been letting it slid. Well we are really cracking down now. It has been hard but we are praying she will see that we love her and find joy in obeying us the first time with a happy heart. We were reconciling with her tonight and Clint said, "Let's do a family hug" Sawyer looked up at him and said, "but bubbas isn't here" So precious. He was alreayd asleep. This girl loves her bubbas. She is so good to him. Shares, gives him hugs and kisses, tells me when he is getting into trouble...everything a big sister should do. Praying she always loves him and watches out for him.

Jameson: Oh boy! He is 14 months old and a little stinker. Still not walking but pushing anything he can around and has stood on his own a few times. He makes he patient that is for sure. He loves for me to hold him still. If his sissy is around he will play pretty well with her. But if me and Sawyer are doing something, he has to be right there with us. I try to remind myself that one day he wont want me to hold him all the time or even hug and kiss him =( So I try to love on this boy as much as I can now. He is back in forth on 1 to 2 naps. Some days I still give him a morning nap and other days I stretch him and keep him up for just his afternoon nap...those days are long and hard. He is a pretty good eater, not as good as Sawyer was/is but good. He has his favorite things thats for sure. He loves much fruit, especially bananas. That boy can shove them down. He likes turkey and chicken and ate shrimp tonight. He likes most cooked veggies, but he will let you know if he doesn't like something. I'm constantly picking food off the floor =)

I'll post some pictures soon.

7 months

Well I'll pretend I haven't posted in like 5 months. With a new baby, move, and iphone my time/interest in writing a blog post is super slim =D I love that I did it when Sawyer was a baby. I resort to it all the time. So I want to try and keep it up as much as possible with J-man.

He is now 7 months old and such a little stinker. This boy is a mommas boy. It's probably my fault but I'm trying to enjoy it even though it is exhausting, I know it won't last forever.

Jameson is on a pretty good schedule. Gets up around 6:30-7:00. Nurses and then plays and has breakfast around 8. Goes down for nap at 9 and sleeps an hour or two. Nurses when he gets up. We usually go out during this time. Either the park, a walk, the store, a friends house, etc...Eat lunch and then him and Sawyer take a nap around 1:30-2. I nurse him and usually give him a bottle before his nap. He gets up around 4-5 and I nurse him again and then we play and have dinner around 6. Bath time is 7 and then nurse/bottle at 7:30. He is in bed by 8. I am working on him playing on his own. He is in a stage right now where he is pretty content with me holding him all day long...this will not work =D

He eats bananas, avocados, peas, pears, apples, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, blueberries, apricots, peaches... I think that's it so far. He is a cuddlier and lover boy. He loves his sissy, his daddy, going on walks, bath time, and being in mommas arms. Still can't sit up by himself. Lazy boy. Hates being on his belly. As soon as I put him on his belly he will flip right over to his back. STINKER. So crawling is not in the works. At his 6 months checkup he was 50% for length, 30% for weight and 50% for head circumference. Not as big as sissy. But he seems long to me and to other people out. Still has blue eyes like his daddy and Sawyer.

Life

Life is going great lately. We're in a wonderful schedule and both babies are such a delight (most if the time, hehe)

Jameson and Sawyer go to bed at the same time, between 7:30-8:30. Then Clint and I hang out, right now we are watching Fringe. Then I'll get J up to feed him around 10 and then put him right back to sleep. He'll usually sleep till around 3 and then he'll start sucking his thumb. It wakes me up. I'll wait for a bit and then I'll take him out to the family room and put him in the swing. The past few nights he has been sleeping till 7:30! It's amazing.

Here are some iPhone pics of our week

Sawyer and Gabe

One of my best friends lives in Louisville and she now has 3 precious children. Her oldest, Gabe is about 4 months older than Sawyer and they got to play with each other when we were in for Christmas. Oh how I wished I lived closer to Tereza, we would sure have some fun and our kids would for SURE be best buddies. Here are some cute pics of Sawyer and Gabe

2 months

Our little man was 2 months on December 29th.

Here are his stats:
12 lbs 6 oz
23 1/2 inches
63% for head circumference

He is just a little bit bigger than Sawyer was at 2 months

We are finally getting a good routine and I'm feeling like our life is getting to its new normal. He has changed so much this month. It started off with me swaddling him for each nap and at night time and me bouncing him to sleep in my arms before i would lay him down. This was starting to get exhausting and he was waking 30-45 minutes in to each nap because he couldn't get himself to fall back to sleep on his own. A few days ago I started un-swaddling him and laying him down awake. I feel like a new woman! And he's sleeping so much better. I nurse him during the day about every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. At night he is finally starting to do longer stretches. Last night he went 5 hours and slept until 8:30 this morning, it was delightful! His demeanor is precious. He is super sweet and smily. Much more calmer than Sawyer was at this age. He gets fussy when he's overwhelmed, tired, or hungry.

He loves bath time, listening and watching his sissy, kisses, nursing, being held, and his mamma (so far he his a mommas boy and I'm okay with that) I love this boy and I'm praying he stays healthy this winter! Now for some pics
