Thoughts on Thursday

I love to read and I thought I would share some of my favorite quotes every Thursday. Today's quote comes from the book: "Prayers of an Excellent Wife" by Andrew Case. This book is wonderful, I use it every morning to pray for my beloved Clint as he goes about his day, I highly recommend it for any wife out there. Andrew uses this quote in the book:

"God has designed not only that prayer come to be, but that prayer sometimes be a necessary means for accomplishing the ends he has ordained. In other words, God purposely designed how things would work so that some of what he accomplishes can only be accomplished as people pray."- Bruce Ware

Prayer is powerful and prayer does work. So please be praying for our church up here, Trinity Church. We are meeting every Wednesdays and have around 30 people who are on board with our mission! Pray also for Clint and I as we grow as parents and adjust to living up here in Philly.

Be looking forward to another cute video of our darling daughter later today or tomorrow!! Until then,

Keep Praying,

Alex

Living the Dream

I have always wanted to be a wife and mother, and it hit me this week that I am finally living that dream out...everyday I get to wake up and do what I love most...it is a wonderful feeling. I truly am loving my life right now. Here are some of the highlights of my day:

-Getting Sawyer up from a nap, she is full of smilies and too precious
-Organizing and cleaning our home, something I did not enjoy when I was working outside the home, but now that I spend all day at home I am loving it!
-Hearing Sawyer laugh and watching her explore the world
-Feeding Sawyer, whether nursing her or giving her solids she LOVES to eat and I love to feed her
-Preparing our home for Daddys return, this is something I look forward to the most everyday. Once it hits 4 I start to get so excited, even though Clint doesn't get home until 5:30ish. As Sawyer gets older I want her favorite part of the day to be when her daddy gets home too...I will work really hard making it special and making Clint feel so loved by his girls!

I am praising God today for blessing me with a wonderful daughter, a hard working husband, and a beautiful home. I am truly learning to be content whatever the circumstances.

Those our just some thoughts I wanted to share today. And of course I will end with a picture of Sawyer Beth

P.S. I will try to do a video tour of our home soon!!!

Now for the pictures:

And don't worry we are cheering super hard for our Wildcats...Here is Sawyer in some of her gear:

We are here, I can't believe it. Our apartment is coming together...my parents helped and just left today, we are officially on our own. We don't have internet yet, once we do I will post pictures. Please pray for this transition, so far so good but it's just the beginning.

Missing all your Louisville people already!!!!
