Well...Grammy and Grampy visited this weekend. We had a wonderful time. Wish the weather would have been a little warmer but oh well. Sawyer was a little stinker but she still loved her time with her G and G. Thank you Mom and Dad for coming up, it means so much to us. Can't wait to see you in June.

Beautiful quote
“Seeing life in seasons enables us to get some perspective in our lives. In every season there will be trials and joys. Hardly anything lasts forever. We need to see our life in seasons and rejoice in the season at hand. As we relax and begin to soak up the unique blessings of this particular season, we will begin to experience and to enjoy the incredible richness of life.”

Grandma Sawyer
I put this outfit on Sawyer a week ago to go for a walk. I thought she looked too cute. A little grandma like though, hehe. She pushed the stroller the whole time on our walk and was having a blast!
On a side note this has been a long week for us. Little miss has been sick all week. I think this is the longest she has ever been sick. Her fever started Monday morning it reached 104.8 on Tuesday night. It would go down with medicine and then go right back up after the meds wore off. She was pretty fussy and wanted to be held a lot. Today she hasn't had a fever but she didn't sleep well last night so she has been pretty fussy again today. Then at lunch she bit her tongue and it started bleeding...we just can't get a break! I'm praying for good rest tonight and a happy girl tomorrow ready to see her grammy and grampy!!!!

Sawyer's sayings
Here are some cute things are girl tries to say:
"I want..." Today was "I want daddy" when she was in the bath tub
"more...yeah...more...yeah" when she wants to do more of something
"let's go"
"whered it go?"
"uppidty, uppidity"
"bed, daddy" when she wants to get in bed with Clint
"walk...baby...walk...baby" walking baby in stroller
"Owie...yeah...Owie...yeah..." When wanting to see Owen
She's starting to get better with putting words together. I can't always understand what she's saying but she sure is trying harder to communicate. Thought Id share these sayings for me to remember and for you to get a glimspe of how big our girl is! :) Happy weekend!

Baby #2
Well we are happy to announce that October is going to be a great month for us. Sawyer will be two October 4th and her brother or sister will be born near October 27th. This was a total surprise but we are thankful that the Lord is adding to our family. It's happening in His time, not ours! I am trusting that the Lord will provide all that we need to get through a toddler and infant!
I am 12 weeks and feeling great. The first 2 months were pretty hard. I was feeling sick for awhile but not making the connection that I could be pregnant. Finally after a Saturday of not wanting to cook, not wanting to eat anything I decided just to take a pregnancy test to be sure we werent pregnant. Well that night we had a really nice surprise. It took us 1 year to get pregnant with Sawyer and 1 month to get pregnant with this baby. Deep down I think I will be excited to have my babies close in age, but at first it terrified me. I cried when I found out I was pregnant. But the Lord has given me strength and joy! I am thankful that the Lord has decided to add on to our family and I know Sawyer will make the best big sister!!! This girl LOVES babies!!! =D

Easter
We had another wonderful Easter up in Philly. We missed all our Louisville family but got to share it with Susu and Paw Paw Steve. The weather was nice, Sawyer was on a sugar high, and Susan and I cooked all afternoon. It was great! The only downfall was a stock pot lid fell from the counter onto my left toes, lets just say I am still in pain today! =D
Susu got Sawyer her Easter dress. It fit perfect and looked beautiful on her
Sawyer had more candy yesterday than she has ever had in her whole life. Her breakfast started out with a chocolate egg stuffed with peanut butter, and then she had some jelly beans with Susu. The rest of the day was filled with other goodies!
Sawyer and Jane were precious during church. They stood next to each other during the worship songs and hugged, jumped, smilied, and enjoyed being together. It wamred my heart. Here are some pictures of them just hanging out on the steps after church
And some more of Sawyer picking flowers

18 months
Our sweet baby is 18 months old. What! I was talking to a friend yesterday and I told her Sawyer is almost 17 months old, then we stopped and calculated it and realized that today shed be 18 months old. A year and a half. I think it just gets better and better, and that's what my mom always says too. We go to Sawyers checkup next week, so I'll post her stats then.
Some favorite sayings and words:
Owie ( for our sweet neighbor baby Owen)
Open (says it all the time when she is trying to get something open, so sweet)
Let's go ( standing by the door waiting for Mommy and Daddy to go outside)
Gigi (our our neighbor, says it all the time when she sees anything that reminds her of Gianna or Marissa)
Outside ( not super clear but we understand)
Uppidty ( just started to say it)
Puppy
Peas ( for please)
Cute things she does:
-when she gets in trouble by me or Clint she starts blowing us kisses
-loves watching daddy do pushups and counches and shell get in the floor and do them with him
-picks flowers and rocks and holds them during our walk
-goes down the slide all by herself and can swing on a big girl swing
-loves baby Owen, tickles him and gives him kisses
-loves to walk and hold her girlfriends hands, when they let go a fit might be coming from Miss Sawyer
Favorite songs:
-ABCs (tries to sing it)
-Jesus loves me
-My God is so big
-ba ba black sheep
Favorite things to do:
-be outside, go on walks, sit on the patio
-play in her kitchen
-play with her babies, feed them, walk with them, wrap them up with blankets
-read books
-eat
Favorite foods:
-peas, carrots, green beans
-sweet potatoes
-kiwis
-yogurt
-anything sweet, loving Easter candy right now
-crackers, chips
-loves all nuts
She's a pretty good eater, shell eat anything we give her. If she doesn't like it I make her eat justs a few bites and she will! Still just drinks water and milk. Takes 3 bottles a day. I told myself I would get ride of the bottle by 18 months but I love that time with her. Shell just lay wih us and drink the bottle! Well see if it will be gone soon. Sleeps with her paci but only has it in bed. My plan is to take that away after our summer trips. She's a pretty good sleeper but still wakes up almost every night. I go in there and give her her paci, not sure why she gets up, it's pretty annoying. I'm going to talk to the doctor about it. Takes one nap. Usually from 1:30-3:30 sometimes it will be longer than 2 hours. Wakes up between 7:00-7:30. Goes to bed around 7:30.
Her personality is very sweet. I think she's a combo of Clint and I. She is very outgoing with friends and family that she knows and shell smile at people when we are out if she feels like it. Sometimes she gets really shy and will turn her head away. She has a temper and she is not afraid to let anyone know. But she's getting better about controlling it and realizing that she won't always get her way.
Okay that's enough rambling. If I think of any other stuff I'll add it later.

Easter Egg Hunt
We had an Easter Egg Hunt this Sunday at church. All the kids had a great time. The weather was okay but it could have been a lot worse. Sawyer liked it at first but then once she saw the playground all she wanted to do was swing and go down the slide. But we still got some cute pictures of her and her friends.
Sawyer and her Easter basket that her great-grandmother gaver her last Easter.
This little boy is Basil, our pastors son. He LOVES Sawyer and it is so precious. She thinks hes pretty cool too. You can't tell in one of these pictures but he was being really sweet with her and telling her how pretty her basket was and she just tood there and smilied at him!
The little kids were allowed to go first. Here is Sawyer collecting some eggs.
Now here come the big kids...
Everyone had a great time.
Now we are preparing for Susu and Paw Paw Steve to come up here and spend Easter weekend with us!

Encouragement
Just read these words from a sweet blog, just what I needed to read
" Live the gospel in the things that no one sees. Sacrifice for your children in places that only they will know about. Put their value ahead of yours. Grow them up in the clean air of gospel living. Your testimony to the gospel in the little details of your life is more valuable to them than you can imagine. If you tell them the gospel, but live to yourself, they will never believe it. Give your life for theirs every day, joyfully. Lay down pettiness. Lay down fussiness. Lay down resentment about the dishes, about the laundry, about how no one knows how hard you work.
Stop clinging to yourself and cling to the cross. There is more joy and more life and more laughter on the other side of death than you can possibly carry alone."
