The Park

We have a little park that is super close to our house that we go to several times a week. Sawyer loves it and we have made some sweet friends there. I decided to bring my camera when we went and got some cute pictures of our big girl. She loves showing off for her Daddy!

Such a little sweetie pie! We are packing today and getting ready for our beach trip. Sawyer is excited...we just have to make it through 2 plane rides first...yikes! But I am trying to have a positive attitude and look at everything like an adventure. =D

Potty and pregnancy

This weekend Sawyer poo pooed on the little potty that we have. I am not trying to potty train her but she is in a weird phase where she would prefer to not wear a diaper but at the same time she doesn't want to go in the potty. On Saturday morning I took her diaper off and she was runnig around naked. She started to say "uh oh" and would touch her bottom. I knew she needing to go. She did not want to put her diaper on and she wouldn't sit on the big potty. So I asked if she wanted mommy to get the little potty ( it was in our basement). She said yes. She sat on it and jeep trying to go, it was so cute. Finally out popped two little poo poos :) Daddy gave her a chocolate chip and she was very proud of herself. She hasn't gone since but I'm fine with that. With baby boy coming I'm not really in a rush to train her, I'm thinking this winter. On another note, I have been experiencing a lot of leg, hip, and back pain this pregnacy. It's on my kept side, I think it's my siatic nerve. I went to the chiropractor on Friday and he did stuff that felt great but I am still having pain. Some days it's better than others. Today, I couldn't even walk through a grocery store. I would have to sit down every few minutes. It was pretty funny and Sawyer was ver concerned about her mommy. Every time I say my leg hurts she says, " mommy sit" and then goes over to kiss my leg! We are slowly getting ready for baby brother to come. Our friends brought us back our baby swing that they borrowed so it's up in our family room. I can tell Sawyer is getting excited, she knows something big is happening. Every morning when I get her up she says, "baby brother" . She'll randomly kiss my belly and also say "baby brother" . I'm praying hard that she'll adjust well,be a great helper, and love being a big sister! :) We leave for the beach Saturday with Clint's moms family. So excited! I'll post all about it when we get back.

4th of July

Today was a great day. It started off walking over to our little "town" center for a parade. It was much bigger than I thought it was going to be. It lasted over an hour. I am kicking myself for not bringing my camera. Oh well. Sawyer had a blast. We met some friends from church up there and Sawyer watched the parade with their boys. It was a sweet time and put us in the patriotic mood!

Here are a few pictures of Sawyer right after we got home from the parade. She was tired and ready for lunch and a nap.

During nap time Clint and I watched "The Patriot". I love watching a glimpse of what the men and women had to go through for us to be free in America. After naps our wonderful friends, The Rogers, came over for dinner. Sawyer was thrilled that Jane and Owen were coming over. They had a blast together and as always Clint and I enjoyed Bethan and Brandons company. Clint got our pool ready and the kids splashed and splashed. Owen LOVEs the water. I've never seen a baby have so much fun playing in the water.

It is great being reminded what a gift it is to live in America. I am so thankful for the men and women who fought for our freedom and the men and women who fight now to keep our freedom!

Louisville

Sawyer and I leave for Louisville Thursday morning. We have been busy packing and soaking up our time with daddy/Clint. Even though I am beyound excited about this trip I hate that Clint can't come with us. I guess somebody has to work so we can pay to go home =D

We will miss you so much Clint. Thank you for letting us leave you for 12 days. It means the world to me and I know Sawyer will be so glad she got to spend time with her family and friends.

Praying we all stay healthy, have an easy and safe flight and have a complete blast in sweet sweet Kentucky!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend has been filled with all kinds of treats.

Sand box/bin. Friends. Lollipops. Popsicles. Ice cream. Cookies. Pool. Water. Fun.

Sawyer has had a blast! We are going to a park tonight with a bunch of friends. Should be great. All this outside/summer fun gets me excited for all the fun we'll have in Louisville.

Here are pictures that recap our weekend and our sweet, busy, loving, toddler!

My helper

This girl loves helping me do anything these days. Check out these adorable pictues. And notice her new sunglasses. Daddy bought them for her today when we went to the King of Prussia mall. It is the second largest mall in the county. It's only 20 minutes from us. I could get in a lot of trouble if I went there alone =D

Summer like weather

We've been having some gorgeous weather the past couple of days. Sawyer is loving her outside time. Especially if Gigi and Marissa are out. These girls sure have fun together. They are teaching Sawyer some big girl things.
Sawyer has almost gotten the hang of the tricycle. She loves doing it. Of course she still loves riding on Marissa car. Love this face.
I kinda felt like I have been in a slump when it comes to doing things with Sawyer. We do the same things everyday. So I motivated myself last night to research some creative things for us to do this summer. Today we tried one of those things. We painted the sidewalk with a homemade sidewalk chalk. I did 2 T of cornstarch, 3 T of water, and 5 drops of food coloring. Sawyer loved it. The paint washes off with water. We will for sure be doing this again, she played with it for about 45 minutes.

I had fun too!

We've been dealing with discipline issues with Sawyer recently. She is at such a fun age but still struggling with when she doesn't get her way. She's slowly learning that life isn't all about Sawyer. We are working with patience and self control. I love this little girl so much and I am trying to put in the hard work now of disciplining her so that she will be an obedient, lovely little girl =D The Lord is teaching  me patience and self control as well. This parenting thing is hard work but the most rewarding thing I have ever done. So thankful for this opportunity to raise this little one along with Clint.
